Giving Tuesday Request for Blog Donations

Giving Tuesday Request for Blog Donations

It didn’t start out that way in the early days, but after 13 years of blogging everyday, this site has become colossal, which translates as way too expensive. Since it got so enormous, it is now crowd funded, to keep our positive little corner of the internet going as an ad-free oasis.

So we’ve agreed that I’ll request donations twice a year, in May and the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.

Just a few days ago, this site got hacked for the first time. Fortunately we were able to sort it out–without you even noticing!– but there was a nervous 24 hours when it was entirely in someone else’s hands. So now on top of our huge hosting expenses, we apparently need to add on the expense of more fire-wall security measures.

Some of you have set up monthly donations, or donate sporadically when it is good for you. Thank you all for that.

For the rest of you, if it has been a while, I hope you consider making a contribution to help defray the cost of operating this website. Click this button below, or a similar one in the sidebar of every post on the computer, or down below every post on the phone, or through the “support the blog” button in every subscription email.

Together we can make this blessing continue. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
