Last year we had a party (see here) for our 30th wedding anniversary, and I’m so glad we did. Just short months afterwards, in a way that we could not have imagined, everything shut down. We’ve seen very few people since.
So in this strange year, the biggest compliment I can give my husband is that there is no one I’d rather quarantine with. That says volumes, I think. I don’t take this for granted. I have been grateful to be with him all along, but hunkering down for nine months during a pandemic has taken that appreciation and thankfulness to unfathomed levels.
Here’s to many more, James! I feel like we’re just getting started. We’ve gotten many of the kinks out. We’re on the runway for our adventures going forward, ready to soar. I look forward to where we are going in our lives.
