Colette Odya Smith came on my radar recently by winning one of the top five prizes in the Pastel 100 (see here) for her painting above titled Understory. She’s been around the pastel scene for quite a while, but I had never seen her work before. I love it!
The combination of natural scenes in their abstract forms is a perfect combination of what I am attracted to as well. Long time blog readers know that I have taken many photos of these very types of things.
Anyway, I thought you would want to see her work as a teaser in this post, with lots more on her website. Maybe you even want to buy some?
