I read this book in 2022 and gave it 5 stars. Last Friday night we watched the movie on Netflix and loved that too. This is a feel good film with a happy ending, that also features an octopus. I thought it was incredibly well done.
I went into this knowing I had loved the book and also knowing that others had panned the movie. (Was just too nice for them? I found nice very welcome.) I had low expectations, but was entirely hooked. Don’t miss this one; Sally Fields brings it home with a great performance of a good story.
I’ll go out on a limb and give it five stars.

I watched this movie a few weeks ago and liked it. I’m sure it seemed “hokey” to some, but it was a soft and gently kind of movie we usually don’t see on Netflix.

Omg. Watched it 3 times. Was so surprised liking it really but was great and pulled at all your emotions.
Definitely 5 stars.
