We are finally camping! In this post, you can see our first campsite in the Wawona area which is the back side of Yosemite. Check out our camping set up, with our beloved hand-me-down tent, my new camp stove, and my bed for the next seven weeks.
We thoroughly enjoyed being right beside the Merced River, which was low but still beautiful. Earlier in the day we both painted it in our journals, but after dinner, the sunset was amazing, ranging from first gold to then crimson and deep purple reflected in the water. And what was our daughter focused on during this fantastic show? Excitedly taking pictures of water striders.
With a full moon and the sprightly sound of the river, we slept great!

I am not an envious person and enjoy others experiences vicariously, BUT this time I almost think I can be envious. Looks absolutely amazing!

Was truly wonderful! The pink/purple sunset in the water was unlike anything I had ever seen. Unfortunately when the camera focused on the water, you don’t see how incredible the sky was, so it was much better in person, hard as that is to imagine.
