Yesterday we discovered the Sacramento Food Co-op near our daughter’s new home. What a wonderful place! When first we visited, I thought it was fun that she was wearing my old food co-op shirt from my college days when I was active in the early food movement. Who knew back then that our nascent ideas and efforts would evolve into such a wonderful places as this?!

With no GMO’s in the store, it is very interesting to see what categories of food are missing; for example the chip aisle was reduced to just a few options. We dined yesterday and today from the prepared food section, which will be a nice option for our daughter if her work life gets too busy to cook for herself.

I am very grateful this is so easily accessible to her, and wish I had one like it near me!
