I am very proud to report that my oldest sister has been named the Outstanding Biology Teacher of the Year for the whole state of North Carolina. This is very well deserved. She has been a cutting edge AP Bio teacher and Science Department Chair for a long time. She is the kind of teacher that changes the lives of both the students and the fellow teachers she mentors for the better, inspiring them and equipping them to succeed. She is the kind of teacher students write to years later to profusely thank for her incredible influence on them. I am so pleased and grateful she has been recognized and honored for her hard work and meaningful contribution!
