I’ve been thinking about these four quotes juxtaposed with each other and thought they may hit the nail on the head for you too…
“It has been well said that no man ever sank under the burden of the day. It’s when tomorrow’s burden is added to the burden of today that the weight is more than a man can bear. Never load yourselves so, my friends. If you find yourselves so loaded, at least remember this: it is your own doing, not God’s. He begs you to leave the future to Him and to mind the present.” George MacDonald
“This is the blessed life – not anxious to see far in front, nor eager to choose a path, but quietly following behind the Shepherd, one step at a time. The Shepherd was always out in front of the sheep. He was down in front. Any attack upon them had to take him into account. Now God is down in front. He is in the tomorrows. It is tomorrow that fills men with dread, God is there already. All the tomorrows of our life have to pass Him before they can get to us.” F.B. Meyers
“Never ask for tomorrow: it is enough that divine Love is an ever-present help; and if you wait, never doubting, you will have all you need every moment. What a glorious inheritance is given to us through the understanding of omnipresent Love! More we cannot ask: more we do not want: more we cannot have.” Mary Baker Eddy
“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about that may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.” Message Bible Matthew 6:34
Actually, in Matthew 6:25-34 Jesus tells us five times not to worry!
