Prayer for a Friend

O precious child of Love divine,
enfolded in God’s mothering arms,
no power can break this bond of Love
that holds you safe from any harm.

O faithful child of Truth divine,
true witness of God’s mighty power,
all falsehood flees when Truth is known
in this most sacred, holy hour.

O joyous child of Life divine,
who acts as God points out the way,
no sorrow weighs upon the heart
when Christ lights up your every day.

O perfect child of Truth and Life,
of Love divine that’s ever near,
claim all the good that’s yours today—
you are God’s offspring, whole and dear.
