Spirit Moved upon the Face of the Waters (acrylic collage) by Polly CastorThe phrase “the Spirit of God moved on the face of the waters” is in the very beginning of the Bible (Genesis 1:2). It refers to what scientists call the “primordial soup,” and that is what this painting depicts.
It is a 30″x40″ acrylic painting with collaged handmade papers, and was made during my artist-in-residency in Maine.
The original already sold directly at camp.
