We had a wonderful Easter and hope you did too.
We are just today back from visiting our oldest daughter in Sacramento. The California legislature she works for was off for the week prior to Easter so we came out to help her choose what plants to get for her small backyard and to get her out of town for a while.
We had planned a week in March with each daughter separately, one trip to Florida, and the other to California, not expecting to end up in Texas for the week in-between. We feel like we’ve been gone a long time and it has been marvelous. But we are also looking forward to getting back into our routines and are glad to be home.
We had a lovely time showing my husband Sacramento (he had never yet been there) and then spending time hiking in Yosemite and touring Hearst Castle. I’ve taken lots of photos to share with you in the near future!
Anyway, in this post you can see our smiling Easter faces just after church, followed by brunch with friends. Note the church flowers below; I especially got a kick out of Jesus (the bigger calla lily), surrounded by his 12 disciples.
Christ has rolled away the stone! Our path is clear, and bright, and ascending, filled with hope, and joy, and expectancy of good.

Yes, lovely. Glad you had a good time and glad you are back for a while. I am nearly done reading Painted Horses (I missed the book group meeting on this, as you may know). See you sometime soon.
