Rearranging my Plein Air Pastel Box

Rearranging my Plein Air Pastel Box

I have just rearranged my plein air pastel box for my painting trip to Monhegan Island in Maine. Below you can see how it used to be, arranged by hue in gradation from dark to light, with neutrals collected separately. Now I’ve arranged it as above: from left to right: light/dark, warm/cool. It will be interesting to see how this influences the work I’ll do.

I am so looking forward to painting. Quite unusually, it’s been over a month, and I’m itching to get to it. Let’s hope there is some new work to share next week!

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
