Drinking Nature In
I am so grateful
to be sitting here
drinking nature in,
like electrolytes
for my soul,
the sky so vast,
hugging close,
cradling the stillness
of my presence,
revitalizing me
by weaving through
the rippling water,
reflections
threading together
birdsong and birch,
bountiful benevolence,
embroidered with
a bevy of mixed greens
made with lacy threads
of blue with pops of gold,
and the rhythmic repetition
of lapping at the shores,
which is cushioned
in the shoals
of a blissfully
profound silence.

A song for the Soul!
Maybe you’ll read it on your podcast….🏞️

Your description of nature was especially wonderful today – “electrolytes for the soul” being my most favorite. Your prose is so wonderful. Have you written a book of poems? I would buy one if you have. Thank you for your post each day; it lifts my heart.
