Almost Home (New Abstract Painting in Pastel)

Almost Home (New Abstract Painting in Pastel)
Almost Home, Painting by Polly Castor

Almost Home (pastel) by Polly Castor

The idea for this painting germinated from the intro to a favorite show All Creatures Great and Small, which traverses winding, hilly roads toward town and home. Here too in Connecticut roads are undulating and indirect, surrounded too by foliage and fields, and there are many ways to get to the same place. It was fun to finally paint this abstract idea.

It is “19”x25″ and done in pastel.  You can see the complete image above and close up details of it below.

I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
