While my husband was in Cappadocia, our younger daughter and I settled into our humble and very affordable lodging that we had engaged as our home base for ten days in a stone house in the small mountainside town of Baunei. The road there is very winding and steep with many switchbacks. The narrow streets were fun, the plants were interesting, and the water lovely.
We explored, including driving around to the other side of the mountain, which faces the water and the town of Santa Maria Navarre. That view from the pizza dinner was panoramic, but our seaside lunch the next day of fried (black!) zucchini shrimp ravioli was wonderful. We’ll drive all they way back down to the airport to pick up my husband, and then let the hiking begin!

Beautiful pictures! I was born on the island of Sardinia, in Cagliari in October 1941. Unfortunately I left with my parents while still a baby and have not visited Sardinia in the rest of my life. This is why I enjoyed the gorgeous pictures of areas of Sardinia. THANK YOU,
