Last Saturday, I got to see our California daughter in Boston, since she had been there at a work thing with Harvard, and she stayed an extra day to see me. I drove up early and we had breakfast together, went to the Trident Bookstore, and then to the Boston Museum of Fine Art to see the Van Gogh Show (and saw jewelry and the Impressionists too, beforehand). Afterwards, we had a late lunch (me: a salmon salad) and I drove her to the airport, before driving home.
The Saturday before, I got to spend the day with our younger daughter. We went shopping at the most amazing fabric store, went to Costco, and out to lunch (me: a salmon salad), as well as played bananagrams (that last one shown below, with the amazing words, is hers).
Yesterday, on Mother’s Day, my husband made me a cheese souffle, and while we were eating it, noticed a robin had made a nest above our picnic table, in the rungs of our umbrella! She’s got three Tiffany blue eggs in there!
In the photos below, follow along on my recent outings with our daughters. I’m so fortunate to have these wonderful women in my life. They also gave me an Archer and Olive journal and two novels…
