Morocco: Bahia Palace and Walking Marrakesh

Morocco: Bahia Palace and Walking Marrakesh

We began the day with a breakfast buffet at the hotel, and then headed to tour the Bahia Palace, which had great examples of Moroccan carved plaster work, painted cedar ceilings, and mosaic tile.

Then we walked to an embroidery class at the Alnour Association, which helps women with disabilities learn skills and use them to support themselves.

After lunch, we walked around the Medina, which is more navigable without a guide than Fez, but you have to watch out for mopeds always coming from behind. I loved all the color and texture! It was great fun to look at everything.

We returned to free tapas at the hotel. Tomorrow is our last day!

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
