Walk at Rachel Carson Preserve (Photos)

I loved this walk at the Rachel Carson Preserve in Maine. Spring was just coming on with new leaves, unfurling ferns, and little white flowers. The birds were singing and the lady slipper orchids were beginning to grow.

My hand gravitates to pointillism, and the dots and dashes and stripes of new buds and leaves fascinate me, so these will end up as photo references for painting. The morning light and fresh air were wonderful too!

On Mother’s Day here, as always, I’m grateful for Mother Earth!
