Photos of Student Work (Adventures in Abstraction Maine 2022)

Here is some of the student work done in my recent Adventures in Abstraction Workshop held in Maine. You can see why I call this an “exercise intensive workshop.” Most of these are 20 minute exercises, while a couple closer to the end of this thread were an hour. We start the class just mark making, and end up on abstracting reality. You can see the progression in order here.

Everyone did a great job and there were plenty of great ideas to discuss and appreciate. Don’t you love it all?

I sure hope I get to see where they go from here!

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
