It has rained a lot this week and we needed it. Prior, we were headed into drought conditions, with the lawn starting to lose any semblance of green. Although the upshot for me has been fewer walks with so much precipitation and humidity, I’m focusing on what I have, rather than what’s lacking, and taking instead the opportunities I do have available. Hence these photos.
They made me ponder what it might mean for my “soul to be as a watered garden,” as the Bible promises. It is a good thing to be nourished, have our thirst quenched, and be given all we need to grow and unfold. There are so many lessons in nature if we’ll but look for them.
Now that I examine these photos closely in the comfort of air-conditioning, I’m seeing these as painting reference photos too. All sorts of compositional ideas are percolating! One thing definitely leads to another.
Have you loved the world today, noticing all sorts of little glorious blessings?

I sure am getting Nature’s Messages…starting today with your photos! Wonder-full, as always.
(Are you willing to share what camera you use? I have an iPhone 8, and get good shots, but…uh…not as “good” as
yers. I’d love to know, but do honor your privacy.)I also appreciate your reminder to always look at the Glass as half-full, rather than half-empty. It sounds so simple,
but we all know it isn’t, always. Thank you, again, for your ultra positive, upbeat, cheering and cheerful expressions in so many forms! What great seeds to sow in world thought!! The Harvest has to be more bountiful with these! :<))-

I usually use by iPhone10, like on all my walks. But these were taken with my good camera, a Canon EOS 70D digital SLR. you can tell the difference in the depth of field.
