Here is my newest landscape painting in pastel. It is 12″x16″ and is of a sight I often enjoy. I love hiking in Huntington State Park late it the day in the autumn when the shadows are long. They stripe the leaf litter, creating a strong pattern along the ground. Plus, there are all sorts of metaphors abounding in the concept of shadows, especially beautiful ones.
