Poldark movie review

We have just finished the fifth and last season of the Masterpiece theater blockbuster series Poldark. We loved it and I give it five stars.  This costume drama takes place in the late 18th century in Cornwall and London. It follows novels by Winston Graham.

Poldark is courageous and impetuous. When he returns from the Revolutionary War, can he retrieve his lost fortune as well as his love who is now promised to another? He gets himself in tangles and out again. He tries his hand to right wrongs. He makes one risky decision after another. He defends his friends tenaciously. There is adventure, treachery, and romance in this period drama, and the characters do evolve.

There is plenty of action, beautiful faces, and scenery to keep you riveted. The cinematography, the sets, and the landscape are all magnificent. The actors all do a wonderful job. I recommend seeing this if you can; it makes marvelous entertainment.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
