Fragrant Explosion
A few warm days and boom.
The lilacs erupt
like detonating fireworks,
popping open, splurging,
euphoric, blasting forward,
spiraling skyward,
in arias of
aromatic ambrosia,
inundating the atmosphere
with intoxicating expansion.
They shout out their radiance
in synchronized scent and hue
setting bushes and awareness
ablaze, blooming, and awash
in enchanting perfume,
crescendoing redolent
in nose stimulating
swells of smell.
Bouquets, in waves
explode with gentility
in fistfuls of fabulous,
four-petaled perfection.
A festival of spring ignites
in flourishing sweetness,
festooned, radiant,
and ravishingly florid.
