When in Amarillo, Texas for the wedding we went with my niece’s boyfriend out to a wonderful place: Chaparral Cactus and Succulents. (See their website here.) He wanted to buy some prickly pear to grow in Louisiana, and you can see that they were successful in that mission in the first photo below. (This, by the way, is the niece that was the flower girl in our wedding…)

If you are anywhere near Amarillo, this specialized nursery is worth a visit! I loved the cactus flowers, especially, as you can see in the following photos.
