At the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival

I recommend this Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival held on the lovely grounds of Boscobel with its outstanding view.  We saw All’s Well that Ends Well last night, preceded by a picnic with friends and ogling the majestic panorama at our feet; it was wonderful.

These actors perform to an intimate three-sided audience as entertainment instead of erudite literature, so I enjoyed it more than most events of this type.  This small but talented troupe of eight actors changed costumes in front of the audience and the men played all the women except the lead (as well as the male roles.) Seeing the calvary horses alone were worth the price of admission, in my opinion.  Prior to the performance, our group had a preview of the plot given by a homeschool dad, which helped our enjoyment as well.

The stunning view in this incredible location makes it clear why the Hudson Valley School of painters were called that; their work looks just like this!  I would love to return to this location to paint sometime…

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
