Our daughter had never seen the movie Chocolat before so we watched it again with her.  I love this movie of the iconoclast atheist quietly blessing people, and Johnny Depp is a pleasure too, especially as a romantic interest.  But add to that chocolate, and oh my, you’ve got a delicious classic.

I had assumed everyone had already seen and loved this movie so I wasn’t considering putting it on the blog, but after speaking with three local blog readers who had never even heard of it, I am compelled to write this post. I give this movie 5 stars.

Not only watch this film but have on hand your favorite chocolate to indulge in afterwards.  We partook of Costco’s Macadamia Nut Clusters and Traders Joe’s Dark Chocolate Covered Caramels – both also recommended!  Never before have I had chocolate directly after this movie but doing so is definitely great!
