Immunity and Impunity
Did God make guns?
I don’t think so.
What about disease?
I don’t think God made that either.
God is infinite Life, omnipotent and good.
Can something God didn’t make kill Him?
No… God is inviolate.
So what about you?
What if we understood that
only what God made can touch us?
Would a barrage of bullets
melt off their targets, powerless:
inept without divine sanction?
Would germs and contagion
find no habitat or landing place, incapacitated:
suffocated for lack of air?
We’re like Teflon pans:
nothing that God didn’t make can stick to us.
Like magnets we attract harmless joy
while repelling festering fears
Like ducks with oil on our feathers
even if it rains or pours
we shrug it off
since it can’t penetrate or defile.
Here is
the ultimate gun control
the universal health care
If only we can realize
that the government is upon His shoulder
and stop giving authority to anything unlike Him.
