2025 New Year’s Resolution/Goals
Say YES! equally to all these (in no particular order):
start a podcast
write that book on spirituality
pure eating and breathless exercise

have a one woman show in November
start an society of abstraction in pastel
travel to Italy,Turkey/Greece/Sardinia Maine, North Carolina

post daily on Instagram stories and Pinterest
collaborate on making a new church website
get daily, non-negotiable focus time
a great 17th year for the daily blog
8 hours per night of restful sleep
apply to artist-in-residencies
embrace speaking engagements
expanding my concept of God
Skillshare and Masterclass
serving as reader in church
selling more paintings
time to read and study
perfect opportunities
family and friends
healing clients
time in nature
orderliness
listening
progress
These are not goals exactly, because they are not “specific, measurable, and time bound,” which is always recommended, but makes me want to run the other way. Working away at this list can help keep me growing and purposeful, satisfied and happy. At any given moment, there is something on this list of possibilities that I’ll wholeheartedly want to do. (So much better than a list of attempted reformation and things to try to say no to!) By the end of the year, I’ll use this as an accountability list to evaluate how well I fulfilled my intentions. I know that in some cases I’m reaching, but even if I just make progress in those areas, that’s a win for me (and others).
That sounds like a great year!

Happy new year and my favorite time for contemplation, prayerful planning, direction setting, intent and quietness of heart, writing lists of hope. Travel to Europe, expand ideas in studio and commit to more easel time, offer summer classes for kids and adults, set the stage for growth in my pastel society. Say yes to spontaneous invitations when possible, spend intentional time with friends and family. Use the library. Ride my bike, walk daily, revisit morning yoga. Reduce sugar consumption. Learn a language.
