Stripes Across the Ground

Golden hour in the forest
April sun slung low
Wafting the first fresh mild air.

Deep yellow light stains
The earth’s floor saturated
Luscious and precious.

Trees starting to bud
Each branch tipped courageously
With shy hints of pink.

In strong intense strokes
Shadows slashing underfoot
Stripes across the ground.

I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
