Sandy Hook Snowflakes and Promises

Sandy Hook Snowflakes and Promises

hope for Newtown

I keep thinking I am done posting about this tragedy.

But since I encouraged you to send in snowflakes in my post about what you could do for Newtown, I thought you should see the overwhelming result of your contributions. Please watch this short video report here (after the ad.)  I cried when I saw it (in a good way.)  There is so much goodness blanketing every school in our region, it is awe-inspiring.  Thank you.

Also, yesterday, a month after the shooting, parents of the victims began asking people to make the Sandy Hook Promise. They do not want to be the ones sharing their experience the next time something like this happens.  There needs not to be a next time.  Watch the short video below done by kids in Newtown High and then sign the promise here. We want to move on, but we must pledge to find common sense solutions so we do not find ourselves here again.

Lastly read this article, especially for the last three lines.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
