After many days of rain in Banff, our last day and a half were clear and lovely. I was so grateful for this (especially coming on the heals of the “catharsis” I wrote about the other day) and I wept again in relief instead of desperation.
Moraine Lake in the Valley of Ten Peaks epitomized my pilgrimage to Banff more than any other place and was my most memorable moment of the trip. It became clear to me that not only could I not be denied God– as I had realized while canoeing on Emerald Lake– but that God would not deny me, which is another thing entirely.
I took lots more photos than these and hope to paint this place in large dimensions in my studio. Laura painted it while I walked around it in prayerful awe and wonder.
