This is the last assignment at this year’s Creative Arts Camp. We were to paint a still life with a view out a window. Not a big fan of still lifes, I chose to paint a bunch of sunflowers from the dining hall in front of my cabin window. This is a painting such as I would never assign myself, but I kind of like it. The idea of painting the background in very light paint and the foreground in heavy paint really works to bring it forward.

It is 16″x20″ and done as everything else this week, in acrylics. See the entire work above and a couple details below.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
