I’m Teaching Painted Paper Collage for a Week in Maine in August

I'm teaching painted paper collage

Every year on this blog (minus the pandemic) you’ve come with me to Creative Arts Camp at Newfound/Owatona, on the shores of Long Lake, in Maine, at the end of August.

It is a national church camp program for adults, a destination event for creative Christian Scientists. If that is you, I want you to know that I’m teaching there this year!

We’ll have class all day from August 20-27, 2024 (with one day off to swim). We’ll paint papers in many techniques in the mornings, and create collage compositions using them in the afternoons.

You can read the whole blurb (and sign-up) here.

The location is fabulous, someone else cooks, and my class is going to be an inspiring blast.

I hope some of you can come!  (And yes, it’ll be worth flying for!)

( I’m so excited about this that I’ve recently checked out 23 books through interlibrary loan on collage, and I’m fascinated to report that none of them include what I’m going to teach in my class in August!  My approach is fresh and new, expansive and fun.)

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
