I had a great time doing these. I threw, spattered, and poured paint. It was especially fun to drop paint from a twelve foot height off a deck banister onto paper and watch it splat. I let out practically a war-whoop when I did that. These were an incredible freeing release, and I can’t recommend that experience highly enough.

It is not all up to chance how these turn out. You can see these two are very different from each other. Both hold the crossroads of many decisions, on color mixing, viscosity of paint, and method of application. Do you put the next layer on while the last one is still wet? Do you move it around and let it run? Move over Jackson Pollack, you didn’t even begin to explore these possibilities!

I’ve uploaded both of these to my gallery, so consider buying prints of them or have their joyful release on your next cell phone cover. Check it out here and here.
