Morocco: The Todra Gorge and the Skoura Oasis

the Todra Gorge the Skoura Oasis

After leaving the Sahara behind, we walked through the stunning, sheer cliffs of the Todra Gorge, followed by enjoying the recuperative rest of the Skoura Oasis, where we stayed on a lovely organic farm, complete with classy adobe buildings and good food.

Oh my goodness Polly! What a heavenly trip to faraway places! I can almost smell the spicy Moroccan air, hear the music and taste the wonderful foods! A trip of a lifetime!
It reminds me of my experiences in Egypt …I lived there as a very young child and do still have some weird, wonderful and disconnected memories of it…and went back there several years ago. I have always been very fascinated by everything Arab and ancient and spicy ever since!
Im so fascinated by seeing all your wonderful photos of this Moroccan expedition…you did it in great style and got to do so much of it in such an authentic way, to truly experience it, not just watch it in a detached sense! Thank you for sharing so many of your thoughts and photos…I’ve really loved it all. And am now itching to go and do the same thing! Do you think an 81 year old could do it all?!!!
