I had a nice “special day” as you can see in the photos of this post. Our older daughter flew in from California for the occasion, which was so sweet of her to do. I opened gifts (my sister gave me the Christmas plates) and talked on the phone. My husband made me pancakes and chocolate chip cookies. The three of us went out to dinner at Rowayton Seafood, which was kind of funny because we sat out on the deck, on the water’s edge of Long Island Sound, in 7º weather, with the wind billowing the makeshift walls, but the food and companionship was wonderful. We had fun. We came home to warm up by the fire and I won at Phase10.
I’m so grateful to be circling the sun with all of you. Thank you to the many well wishers on social media, through the mail, and via text. Let’s have another terrific year together!

What a wonderful celebration for your special day! There is nothing better than spending time with people we love!
On our older daughter’s birthday recently we took the whole family out for a celebration supper, rather than spend the money on a posh present. Now their offspring are teenagers and we don’t see so much of them it seemed a good idea to spend time with them all. We had a wonderful evening.
Happy birthday! Love x -
That sounds like a perfect birthday celebration!
