Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy has made more of a difference in my life than any other book, and it is celebrating its 150th birthday today. It was revolutionary back when it was first published, and it is still so today. You can hear here on my podcast how it helped me as an atheist find a definition of God I could accept. That was a big shift, but it was only the beginning of the ongoing revelation for me.

The first chapter explains how to pray effectively, while the last 100 pages of the book are letters written back when the book came out from people who were dramatically healed of all sorts of problems just by reading the book. I’ve had many of those experiences too, and I know many other people who have as well. This book’s transformative mission is just as needed today as it was 150 years ago.
