After a bit of a snafu with a train strike, we got back to Florence with friends that we were parting with, and to meet up with friends we were spending the rest of our stay with. This exchange happened at the amazing Mercato Centrale, which you see depicted in many photos below.

Afterward we got a treat at Gilli (see my chocolate gelato) where I took more food photos, and went to an art store and visited Ferragamo, before we drove to their remarkable villa for the other half of our trip. On the way out, I got a fabulous view of Florence from an overlooking hill.
