These photos chronicle us renting a gorgeous blue Peugeot, driving to six hours to the northern English countryside, and arriving at sundown in Keswick, which is on the shores of Derwentwater Lake. The next day, after a lovely sunrise, we hiked around the lake, 20,000 steps with some elevation gain, to see the spectacular scenery recorded here. We had a terrific time of it too, enjoying the views, the weather, the reflections, the amazing trees. Enjoy following along on our walk around in the photos in this post!

Gorgeous photos!!! So glad you’re enjoying your trip and that the weather is pleasant. I hope you’ll get to visit Castlerigg Stone Circle. It’s special. It doesn’t take long to drive there and not long to walk around and take photos. You can check their website. But I know your time is short there. If you have time you could visit the Derwent Pencil factory. You’d be sure to find some art supplies there you might like? Enjoy the rest of your time!!!! Wendy
