Happy May Day! These glorious flowering trees are gracing our neighborhood, cheering us at every turn.

The one above was my parents’ housewarming present when we moved into this house 27 years ago! The dark magnolia in front of the big victorian (shown below) is across the street.

We’ve had some lovely days recently, although we are now sunk in rain, watering future blooms not yet apparent.

Enjoy this burst of color, and pretend it is a May basket spirited onto your doorknob… the love is the same even though delivery is different.
