Five Pastel Paintings I Painted this Week in Maine

I had a wonderful time painting this week in Maine. Here is what I produced:

The painting above– Climbing Katahdin– is of a difficult spot in the hike to the top of Mount Katahdin. It is 12″x12″and done in pastel.

Early Morning Walk at the Rachel Carson Preserve: Such a lovely place! It is 6″x9″ and done in pastel.

Elves Live There is about the magical place Maine is. It is 12″x12″ and done in pastel and acrylic ink.

Parade Ribbons in Kennebunk is about the jubilant May Day parade stops all traffic in the bright sunshine, streamers waving. It is 6″x9″ and done in pastel.

It is a hike to get to Howes Falls in Baxter State Park, but it is worth the effort. It is 12″x12″ and done in pastel.

Maine is a very varied place and has endless subjects to paint; stay tuned in the next few days for more photos of my trip!
