A Spring Walk During the 245 Anniversary of the Battle of Ridgefield

Battle of Ridgefield 245th anniversary, Ridgefield CT photos Main Street

I took all these photos except the top two, which were taken by my friend Rob Orr on Saturday. I missed the actual battle reenactment then, which took place right in front of our church, but Sunday morning I got a walk around town and things were still going on.

See my photos here of Ridgefield 245 years after the revolution, with some of the same trees and houses, on a glorious day with leaves popping out and flowers festooning every nook and cranny. Such a gorgeous place to live, and I’m reveling in this season of unfoldment.

Spring is blooming in CT! “festooning” is such an appropriate word in your description of this breathtaking landscape.
