Evening drama on Long Lake, Sunset Photos with Loon Calls

This glorious sunset was the last evening at Creative Arts Camp. The place is a peninsula with lake views out three directions, and all three vantage points that evening were spectacular. I especially enjoyed taking close-ups of the water as you can see below. They strike me as amazing abstract works of art in themselves. All the colors were naturally exceptional; no photoshop or filters were used.

Also on the lake, later that evening, I recorded the loons that I heard from my cabin each night. You can listen to that here. It was recorded at midnight, and struck me as a different type of dramatic lakeside beauty.

So grateful for this glorious time!

Phew! You capture so vividly the beauty of nature. It’s like a spectacular show on the last evening. I really had to look twice at the close up of the braided tree to see if it was a picture or a painting. Thank you for bringing such beauty into my every day.
