IAPS Show 2021 Favorites

I applied to this most prestigious international pastel show and did not get in. Included in this post are all the abstract works in the show, as well as my favorite landscapes, still lifes, and portraits. I feel my abstractions are on par with those here, but they just take such a small percent of them. At least this time one of the three judges for this show is an abstract artist, which is progress, and probably why there was this much abstraction, although it is still less than ten percent. I’ll try again next time.

Many of the artists here are acquaintances or friends. I am thrilled for them. You can see the show online here, where you can see the artists name, title, and painting prices. There are two divisions in the show; the Master’s Circle is for people who have been accepted in the show five times or more. Separating these out has been a great idea, so that the same people are not always dominating this show and the awards. The work above got Best in Show in the general division.

Anyway, enjoy this art (not by me)!

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
