It was a perfect October afternoon to paint en plein air (outside on location). And it was an honor, privilege, and joy to commune with, and ponder, this mammoth, gracious, gnarly, old soul! This tree is colossal! Done five minutes from our house in pastel, it is 9″x12.” The full work can be seen above, with close-up details of it below.
