I’ve been tinkering around with painting in black in white again. I was going for a full range of value here, with a wide variety of both method and mark making. As one thing leads to the next, I realize I now want to explore “visual weight,” which is something not usually present in my work, but could take it up a notch. So even though while doing these I got a glimpse where to go from here, I like these for what they are, and hope you do too.
