Day 6: Bay of Fundy (High and Low Tide Photos)

We spent the day walking from high to (very!) low tide on Alma Beach adjacent to the Bay of Fundy National Park where we are camped. First below you can see the requisite boats at low and high tide, then follow us out to the farthest low tide here, which is one kilometer out. The rocks and barnacles were surprisingly colorful, as you can see from the photos. We saw lots of scallop shells too.

Then after all the rain, we were so thrilled to see the blue sky, we had to record that it actually happened! Also, check out our tent in our cozy campsite, where the sleeping is really good with the sound of water rushing in and out just at the bottom of the hill. Finally, we plein air painted the bay at high tide, which you can see last below.

We leave New Brunswick tomorrow for Nova Scotia…

The pictures finally loaded and they were worth the wait! What a spectacular place and the picture of the two french easels side by side is perfection.

I’m loving your pictures and I thought it was just me having an unusually long wait for them to load. One of your stones looks like a whale. How do you resist gathering up lots of stones and shells? That would be my weakness. I have always wanted to visit that area. Thanks for taking me along with you.
