[/spb_text_block] [spb_text_block pb_margin_bottom=”no” pb_border_bottom=”no” width=”2/3″]My painting above– one from my music series– got in this year’s Guilford Arts League Juried Show, held at the Mill Gallery. The opening was last night. You can see my photos of the event below, and in the first shot below you can see my painting on the left.
The juror made interesting choices for this show. There was a painting I was fascinated with and loved at drop off, and I told someone I would give best in show if I was juror. Then last night I discovered it wasn’t even accepted in the show! It just goes to show you that you never know…

Thanks for sharing!! I loved seeing all of these! Your work is really good and I especially like the texture and the layering of one color over another. I am fascinated by paintings. My brother-in-law is an artist but I can only draw water!!!
