Prayers from A to Z : A Game (by Virginia Hughes)
I like to think about prayer as a conversation with God, my best friend. One day I was praying about how I could help another friend who had told me she was in an uninspired rut, praying the same way all the time. I realized there are many good ways to talk with/listen to a friend so surely there were lots of good ways to pray.
A game came to mind. I sat down with my Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy (two books that help me learn more about my relationship with God) and concordances to those books to see if I could come up with twenty-six ways to pray. I created this list, “Prayers from A to Z.”
I shared it with my friend and others from church, inviting them to do their own list from A to Z. We had lots of fun. Do you want to play too? You can either try to figure out my list or make your own, backed up with clues from the Bible and Science and Health:
