Books and Handmade Gifts We Received for Christmas

Above is the sgraffito pottery plate I made my husband for Christmas. I also made him the little dish below for his steel wool next to the kitchen sink. And each year he sews me a tissue box cover for somewhere in the house; this one is destined for my office/studio.

And below that you can see what books our family received from each other for Christmas…

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves. I absolutely love the inspired gifts you exchanged with your husband. Did you receive ALL these phenomenal books for Christmas? What a collection!!! I’m going to check into quite a few of them myself — including THE INVENTION OF WINGS and STILL CHRISTIAN.

These books were received from among the five of us (myself, my husband, and our three kids). I bought the Invention of Wings for our older daughter. I loved it and you can read my review here. The still Christian book was given to my husband…
